About
I’m a third-year computer science student at Michigan State University. I came through the Early Middle College program at Kenowa Hills High School and Grand Rapids Community College.
My research interests include generative AI (image, video, and world models), robotics (embodied AI and autonomous vehicles), AI alignment, computer vision, and machine learning. I follow the progress of both open and closed models, especially the constant room for improvement and competition among leading AI labs.
Long term, I’d like to work on making capable models, from language models to world models, run efficiently on consumer hardware. I’m particularly interested in the computational demands of world models and how they could generate training data for autonomous vehicles and robotic tasks. I’m also interested in applying frontier model capabilities to robotics.
Using the resources available to me, I’ve explored different areas through independent projects. I built a neural network to understand ML fundamentals, compared local vision-language models to explore computer vision, and built LocalPilot to experiment with agentic AI.
I’m seeking undergraduate research opportunities at MSU for spring or summer 2027 to learn how to conduct research and build AI systems. My long-term goal is to become an AI research scientist or an applied AI scientist.
